A teenage girl suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone after allegedly being assaulted by a woman in a row over a parking space.

The 14-year-old girl was a passenger in her mother's car when an argument broke out between them and two women in another vehicle in Hammersmith, police said.

Police said the girl was then hit in the face during in the incident in Blacks Road at around 1.30pm on Sunday, December 7.

She was taken to a central London hospital with a suspected fractured cheekbone, according to the Met.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a collision and assault, and a 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault. They have both been bailed until January pending further enquiries.
