A 16-year-old boy has admitted raping a child in the classroom of a Croydon school.
The boy appeared at Croydon Youth Court on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to one count of rape of a boy under 13 years of age.
The incident occurred on February 11 last year, when he was 15.
The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted making the 12-year-old victim perform oral sex on him.
The boy had originally denied the charge, along with a second of forcing the boy to perform a sex act on him.
However, he changed his plea to admit the charge of rape and the second count was withdrawn by the Crown Prosecution Service.
He has been bailed to reappear at Croydon Youth Court on July 21, on the condition that he does not contact two witnesses in the case, including the victim.
