Police have released pictures of five potential witnesses they want to speak to after a man was stabbed in Stratford’s Olympic Park on Halloween last year.

Officers say that a number of possible witnesses, including those pictured, were in the area at the time of the stabbing, near the Aquatic Centre at 5.46pm, which left a man in his 60s injured.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital and his wounds were deemed not life-threatening.

Police believe that fireworks were being set off by a group of youths in the area and the stabbing directly followed that.

They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, but has not yet spoken with police.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the potential witnesses pictured is asked to call 101 quoting 6195/31Oct22 or Tweet @MetCC. To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
