Pictures of alleged serial killer Stephen Port's lair have been shown in court.

Port, 41, is accused of luring four young men to his flat in Barking, east London, after meeting them on gay social media websites such as Grindr.

While there, he allegedly spiked their drinks with fatal doses of date rape drug GHB in order to have sex with them while they were unconscious, the Old Bailey was told.

All four men, in their early 20s, were found dumped within 400 metres of Port's home in Cooke Street over a 15-month period, jurors have heard.

The court was told Port had lived in the one-bedroom flat since moving out of home at the age of 31, and had acquired it through a part-mortgage, part-rental scheme.

Images shown to the jury displayed an apparently well-maintained and tidy living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

The chef's bedroom was dominated by a large double bed covered with black sheets and red pillows.
