Jake Nedd, 31, had raided a black Range Rover parked in a residential street before fleeing the scene on the pay as you go bicycle.

The brazen thief begins pedalling away after seeing the van as it tore down the street towards him after the shameless daylight theft in Fulham.

After catching up with Nedd, the officer swings open the passenger-side door and knocks him to the ground before arresting him.

In dramatic CCTV footage, the thug can be seen crashing to the floor head first over the handlebars of the Santander Cycle in Dawes Road.
