A rapper stabbed at a star-studded urban music awards ceremony poses in his hospital bed — making gun signs with both hands.

Leon Riviere, 37, who performs under the name Young Spray, was knifed repeatedly by rivals who reportedly raided a backstage dressing room.

Stars including Stormzy appeared at the GRM Daily Rated Awards at the Apollo in Hammersmith last Tuesday alongside Chip and Big Narstie, Krept and Konan, actor Daniel Kaluuya, and Radio 1 DJ Charlie Sloth.

Harrowing footage posted online shows Riviere, the father of a young child, slumped against a wall in a pool of blood.

Posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed, he described the attack as just “another day at the office”, adding: “Just here resting in peace. Big up everyone sending their well wishes ... Scars will heal.”

Riviere says he became a rapper after serving a prison term as a teenager.

Some music videos have been blamed for fuelling crime in London. Some tracks available online feature gangs associated with postcode wars.

Police said no arrests had been made over the attack at the Apollo.
