Police have launched a hunt for a missing 13-year-old boy from Leyton.

Danyal Arain has not been seen since disappearing in Queens Road, Walthamstow at around 3.20pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives say they are growing "increasingly concerned" for his safety.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a Kelmscott School blazem an Addidas jacket and a black and blue hat, police say.

He is described as Asian and between 5'7" and 5'10" tall, with black hair.

Scotland Yard said he is known to frequent Waltham Forest and Haringey.

Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 101 or contact Missing People on 116000.
