Police are hunting for a pervert who exposed himself to an 11-year-old schoolgirl as she walked through an alleyway in a south west London suburb.
The man, who was reported to be about 30 years old, approached his victim in Avon Close, Worcester Park, at about 8am on Monday.
The girl ran from the scene after he exposed himself and he "made no attempt to touch or follow her", police said.
Detectives investigating the case today appealed for witnesses to speak to them.
They said the victim had been left "very upset" by her ordeal.
Police patrols have been increased in the area in order to reassure the public.
Detective Sergeant Antony Preston, who is leading the investigating for Surrey Police, said: "This was a concerning incident where a man has exposed himself to a young girl and we need the public's help to track him down.
"Fortunately the victim was not harmed in any way during the incident but this was obviously a very upsetting experience for her to go through.
"We believe this is an isolated incident and we are doing everything possible to track down those responsible.”
Police are searching for white man, 5'8", of medium build with short brown hair parted to the side. He was wearing a black puffa jacket with pockets on the chest, blue jeans and black trainers.
