Police are hunting a man who allegedly touched himself inappropriately in front of a woman on a London-bound train.

Detectives have released an image of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident on a train travelling to St Pancras station.

British Transport Police said the man touched himself inappropriately in front of a 30-year-old woman who boarded the Thameslink service at Luton on the afternoon of March 31.

He had joined the train later in the journey and sat down opposite the victim.

The woman used her mobile phone to record him in an effort to help the police to investigate.

Following the incident, which happened at about 2.15pm, the suspect then left the train at Hendon.

In statement, police said: “Officers are now releasing an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection to this incident.

“Do you recognise him? If so please get in touch.”
