Police are hunting a man who allegedly threw an advertising board at a group of ticket inspectors at a south east London station.

The man was stopped and asked for a ticket at Deptford station, but pushed past the inspectors and forced his way out of the building.

As he left, he picked up a wooden A-frame advertising board from a coffee shop and threw it towards them.

The board hit one of the officers on the hand, causing him to fracture a bone in his hand.

The incident happened at about 8.20am on Tuesday 28 February.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, required hospital treatment after the incident on Tuesday, February 28.

Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV images as he may have information which could help with the investigation.
