Police are hunting a man who allegedly sexually assaulted at least one woman on a London to Birmingham train.
British Transport Police officers have launched an appeal and released a picture of a man they wish to question in connection with the incident, which took place on board the 7.42pm Virgin Trains service from Euston to Birmingham New Street on April 13.
A spokesman said a man "smelling strongly of alcohol" approached several female passengers, "touching at least one of them inappropriately".
The force's Pc James McLaren added: “The man moved through the busy carriage, sitting or standing next to a number of women as he did so.
“His behaviour was reported to the train manager who moved him into a different carriage, before the man left the service at Wolverhampton.”
Pc McLaren went on: “As a result of our enquiries to date we have been able to isolate the image of a man who, we believe, has key information about the incident. I am now calling on anyone who recognises him to come forward.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling on the service who may have been approached by the man or who may have further information.”
