Police are hunting a man after a 13-year-old girl was subjected to racist and sexual abuse on a London bus.
According to the Met Police, the incident took place on 174 bus at 4pm on Tuesday in Barking and Dagenham.
The suspect allegedly began staring at the victim before beginning to shout racial and sexual insults at the girl as the bus reached Barking and Dagenham College.
A woman intervened and tried to escort the girl downstairs when the man attempted to punch the woman, police said.
Another passenger was forced to intervene.
Both the woman and the girl were then able to move downstairs.
Police say they are looking to speak with the man in connection with the incident and have released a picture.
He is described as a male aged approximately 35-45. He was wearing a distinctive leather jacket with white strips down the side.
Police have asked anyone who recognises the man to call police on 101 quoting 5119484/17.
