Police are hunting for five suspected riot thugs - one day after a group were jailed for terrorising a top London restaurant.

Kensington and Chelsea police are appealing for information from members of the public, who may be able to identify five masked and hooded youths, caught on CCTV in the Notting Hill area.

Yesterday, 16 people were sentenced for attacks including one on Michelin-starred London restuarant the Ledbury, in which diners were systematically stripped of cash and jewellery in a terrifying raid.

Police said the five pictured on CCTV were not linked to the disturbance at the Ledbury.

The 16 jailed were part of a 50-strong masked mob armed with knives, poles and baseball bats who terrorised the streets of Queensway and Notting Hill.

The judge in the case told the court how rioters smashed their way into The Ledbury to steal jewellery, cash and phones from diners. One woman had her wedding ring ripped from her fingers.

Police released CCTV of five suspects today.

Anyone with information should call Kensington and Chelsea Crime Squad on 020 8246 9242/9229 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
