Police are hunting for a burglar after a moped-riding gang rammed a north London house and stole a stash of jewellery.

Detectives investigating the raid at the house on West Heath Road, Barnet have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question.

Two people riding a moped are reported to have smashed the front door open before going inside and stealing the jewellery.

A VW Golf was also seen outside the home during the burglary on the evening of February 4.

Police in Barnet are investigating. A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with the raid and bailed until next month.
