Two people including a teenage boy were stabbed during a large brawl in north London.
Emergency services descended on the scene of the incident in Muswell Hill Road at about 10pm on Tuesday.
An eyewitness told the Standard he saw “what looked like a victim with wounds on his back sitting on a bench with emergency services” in the aftermath of the attack.
A local resident, 34, who gave his name as Rob M, said he saw four or five emergency vehicles, a young man in handcuffs, and up to ten emergency staff at the scene.
“It’s a local area, quite quiet, with lots of people with young kids,” said the media analyst, who noted that had been several other disturbances in the past week including broken windows.
“So we’re obviously concerned about a rise in violent crime in the area,” he said.
A Met Police spokesman said police were called at 9.57pm on Tuesday to reports of an assault in Muswell Hill Road.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 47-year-old man and a 16-year-old male with stab injuries," said the spokesman.
“Both were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”
Both of the injured men were arrested on Tuesday night on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, as were a 28-year-old man and another 16-year-old boy.
A fifth person, a 38-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of GBH on Wednesday.
