Five people have been charged over the murder of a 26-year-old man in Newham, east London.

They are two 17-year-old boys, 18-year-old Khalis Malik, of Pittman Gardens, Ilford, 19-year-old Esahak Yusuf, of Benson Avenue, Newham, and 20-year-old Zain Ali, of Poulett Road, East Ham.

The killing took place on November 11, when police were called to reports of a man stabbed inside a car.

Anselam Senaj was found with stab wounds and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.

A post-mortem later confirmed his cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

The Metropolitan Police arrested five people on November 22.

Those who have been charged appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Friday.
