Police have charged a 29-year-old mother with murdering her newborn baby daughter.

Ginaite Suminaite was arrested after an ambulance was called early on Wednesday to a house in Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis.

Her baby girl was declared dead at the scene, Sussex Police said.

Suminaite, who needed urgent medical attention herself, was arrested on Friday after she was released from hospital.

She is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court tomorrow after being charged with the girl's murder.
