Moment youths 'tried to set fire to seats during arson attempt on bus'

This is the moment two boys tried to set the seats of a bus alight as it travelled through south London.

CCTV footage showed the youths holding lighters against seats on a T31 bus while it drove along Field Way in Croydon.

Four seats were damaged in the incident, which was spotted by a passenger who then warned the driver.

Police now want to trace two teens, described as white and around 14 to 16 years old.

The incident, which happened on September 6 last year at around 7.45pm, is being treated as attempted arson.
