A student was dragged along a pavement and stamped on as he clung desperately to his camera during a horrific attempted street robbery.

The victim was left with smashed teeth after the attack which happened as he took photos in east London.

A moped rider pulled up to the 20-year-old man in East India Dock Road, Poplar, before its passenger leapt over some railings and onto the pavement before grabbing the man’s camera.

The victim gamely clung on to his kit but was pulled to the ground during the struggle.

Shocking footage captured by a nearby CCTV camera shows his attacker repeatedly stamping on him as he tries to yank the camera away from the student.
