A Met police volunteer has been found guilty of possessing extreme pornography.
Special Constable David Baddiel, who denied possessing the images, was yesterday convicted following a trial at Harrow Crown Court.
Jurors heard how he had three extreme indecent images on his phone.
Under the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008, an extreme pornographic image is one that portrays “in an explicit and realistic way” an act that threatens a person's life or is likely to result in serious injury; sex with a corpse; or sex with an animal, whether dead or alive.
Baddiel, 33, was given a 12-month conditional discharge with £700 costs and told to pay a victim surcharge.
He was acquitted of possessing three identical images on his computer.
He was suspended after the allegations were made and will now be subject to a misconduct review.
