A McDonald’s manager was arrested after being caught serving customers a side of cocaine with their meals, New York police have said.

Frank Guerrero, 26, is said to have sold eight wraps of the drug to an undercover police officer at one of the fast-food chain’s restaurants in the Bronx.

Authorities said he handed the officer $10,900 worth of cocaine on one occasion, and 100 grams of crack cocaine worth up to $6,520 on another.

The night manager stashed the drugs in a soap dispenser before selling it alongside burgers and fries at the eatery in the Bronx, police said.

He was arrested while he prepared to finish his shift at about 5am on Wednesday at the end of an undercover investigation officers named “Operation Off the Menu”.

Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan described Guerrero’s conduct as “so blatant it would be comical if he weren't committing a serious narcotics crime”.

She added: “Ordering coke took on an entirely different meaning on the night shift at this McDonald's.”

Officials said that late-night orders at the restaurant were taken only from the drive-through window, but that Guerrero allowed drug customers to enter the main door for their transactions.

A search warrant was carried out at his home, where officers reportedly seized 200 grams of cocaine and $5,300 in cash.

Police arrested a woman named Leidy Cabral Castillo was arrested at the address in front of her two-year-old child.

The cash was found inside a dresser in the toddler’s play room, officers said.
