Police are hunting a man who allegedly tried to lift up a woman’s skirt on a Northern line Tube train in south London.

The woman, who was travelling alone, reported that a man approached her on a Tube between Balham and Morden.

He touched her twice on the thigh before attempting to lift up her skirt, British Transport Police said.

The woman fled at South Wimbledon and the suspect left the train at Morden.

Detectives released a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with the alleged attack on Thursday.

Its showed a white man with short dark hair wearing a dark coloured jacked and blue jeans.

The incident happened at 7.50pm on December 19.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police by texting 61016 or phoning 0800 40 50 40, quoting 194 of February 16.
