Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in north London during the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called to reports of a man being slashed in the head with a knife on Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park at about 12.50am.

The 29-year-old victim was taken to hospital with minor wounds.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, Scotland Yard said.

Part of the road was closed off for a short time following the incident close to the junction with Rock Street.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
