A man drove his mobility scooter into a police car and then bit a police officer's hand after a row at a pub in east London.

Anthony Walker, 31, used his hand to smash a window of the Princess of Wales pub in Hackney at around 1am on Sunday, October 19.

When police arrived on the scene in Lea Bridge Road he drove his mobility scooter into the back of their car.

He then spat at and bit a police officer as he was being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a window and to the police car.

Walker, of Louisa Oakes Close in Hackney, later pleaded guilty to assault on police and criminal damage at Thames Magistrates' Court.

He was fined £440 for the offences after a hearing on October 20.
