A man is fighting for his life with head injuries after an attack in north London.

Police said a man in his 20s is in a critical condition after the incident outside Seven Sisters Tube station in the early hours of this morning.

A spokesman said: "We were called to Seven Sisters Road, outside the Tube station, at 5.45am.

"We found a man in his 20s with life-threatening head injuries. He is in a critical condition in hospital."

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing, police said.

The road was closed for several hours after the incident.
