Man charged with spraying ammonia at clubber during 'homophobic' attack

A man was charged today with spraying ammonia in the face of a clubber in a suspected homophobic attack in south London.

Jonathan Lynn, 31, of Worcester Park, south west London, was charged with wounding with intent, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a weapon for discharge of a noxious liquid or gas.

He was due to appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court this morning.

The alleged assault took place int he early hours of Sunday near the Lightbox club in Vauxhall.

The 23-year-old victim described how he feared he could be blinded in one eye following the attack.
