A man has been arrested after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Brighton.

The teenager is believed to have been alone at The Level play area in the city centre when she was approached by her alleged attacker.

He is said to have spoken to her before raping her on Sunday, October 26.

A 29-year-old man of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of rape, Sussex Police confirmed.

He is being held by police while enquiries continue.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the offence, are asked to please report it online quoting serial 1469 of 16/10.
