The disappearance of vulnerable 27-year-old man with autism has prompted police to launch an appeal for public help.

Luke Daly was last seen at 5.20pm yesterday in the Sydenham Road area of south east London with his carer.

He is described as "vulnerable", has limited communication skills and police are growing increasingly concerned for his safety, Scotland Yard said.

Mr Daly is a 5ft 7ins tall black man who has a large build and short black hair. He was wearing brown tracksuit trousers, a blue hooded top and trainers.

He is said to like travelling on buses and trains and often goes to Lewisham and Croydon shopping centres.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or the Missing Person Unit at Lewisham Police on 0208 284 8455. A call or text can also be made to Missing People on 116000.
