The conman ex-boyfriend of Love Island’s Dani Dyer has been ordered to sell his designer trainers and personalised numberplate to pay back pensioners he swindled out of their life savings.

Sammy Kimmence, 25, was jailed for 42 months in July after admitting posing as a financial advisor to steal almost £34,000 from two victims who believed he was investing on their behalf.

Prosecutor Michael Mason told Portsmouth crown court that Kimmence had a total criminal benefit of nearly £55,000, made up of the money stolen from the pensioners, unexplained cash deposits into two bank accounts, and luxury goods which were seized after his arrest.

But the conman has just £5,099 available to compensate the two victims of his fraud.

“It is made up of a personalised numberplate, worth £699, and jewellery and clothing, making it up to £5,099”, said Mr Mason.

Judge Timothy Mousley QC added: “It is some shoes – the vast bulk are three pairs of trainers.”

Mr Mason told the court Mr Martin, who has now died, lost nearly £26,000 to Kimmence’s fraud and Mr Haynes was defrauded out of £7,927.

“We would like this to be paid as compensation if possible”, added the prosecutor.

Judge Mousley agreed to an order that Kimmence pay £3,926 to Mr Martin’s estate and £1,173 to Mr Haynes as compensation within the next three months, or he would face a further three months in prison.

Handout

The conman broke down in tears as he was jailed last month for five counts of fraud, carried out between 2016 and 2018.

Kimmence, a former amateur footballer with Barkingside FC, dated Miss Dyer, the daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer, after her stint in the Love Island villa.

They have a son, Santiago, together who was born in January this year, but Miss Dyer ended the relationship after Kimmence was sent to prison.

He had been a senior trader at Equine Global Sports Limited, and continued to take money from the two pensioners when the company went into liquidation.

He spent their savings on a holiday to Ibiza, at nightclubs, and on a personalised numberplate for his Mercedes.

Kimmence initially denied the fraud charges but pleaded guilty shortly before he was due to stand trial.
