A punter was left with potentially life-changing eye injuries after being bottled in a random attack in a north London pub, police said.

The 33-year-old Italian victim suffered a "large laceration" when he was attacked at the bar of Quinns in Camden.

Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses to the assault, which happened between 2.30 and 3.30am on Sunday, January 11.

Detective Constable Tina Baguena, of Camden Police's Major Crime Unit, said: “This appears to be a random motiveless attack on an innocent man having a quiet drink.

"The attack left him with terrible injuries which may affect him for the rest of his life."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Camden Police on 0208 733 6588 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
