Isleworth stabbing: Man knifed in daylight attack in west London

A man in his 20s was left in a critical condition after he was stabbed in broad daylight in west London.

He was found wounded following reports of the incident in Isleworth, in the borough of Hounslow, on Thursday.

His injuries were later deemed to be not life-threatening, police said.

An air ambulance attended the scene, in London Road near Thornbury Park, alongside police officers.

A crime scene was put in place as officers investigated the incident, which emergency services were alerted to at around 5.26pm.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “A male was discovered suffering from a stab wound.

"He was taken to an east London hospital.

"A male has been arrested on suspicion of obstruction and assaulting a police officer.”

Road closures were put in place with motorists warned to avoid the area.
