These images show the horrific injuries inflicted on a 91-year-old pensioner who was mugged in north London.
Police were today hunting a man wanted for questioning in connection with the robbery in Highgate.
The woman, named Lynne, had been to the shops and was walking along Church Road when she felt someone tugging her bag.
She was near the junction with Talbot Road when the mugging occurred at about 1.30pm on August 14.
She looked down to see a hand in her bag and tried to pull away, but was pushed, fell to the ground and banged her head.
She suffered severe bruising and swelling to her face, neck, shoulder and leg and a broken arm.
Paramedics took her to hospital for treatment and she has since been re-admitted due to concerns about her head injury.
The suspect made off with her purse, which contained a bank card, travel pass and £20 cash.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
Investigating officer Constable Paul Hallas, of Haringey CID, said: “Whoever did this left an elderly woman on the ground in the street, without a care for her welfare.
“Words can’t express the level of depravity the perpetrator stooped to when they targeted this woman.”
