Shots fired during late-night street brawl outside pub in Mill Hill

Shots were fired during a street brawl in north London in the early hours of this morning.

Gang police were called to the scene after the fight broke out near to a pub in Mill Hill shortly before 1am.

Officers rushed to stop the brawl in Hale Lane but when they arrived the fighting had already ended.

The road has been closed for more than eight hours while police investigate and search the area, near to the Railway Tavern pub, for weapons.

Twitter user John O, shared a picture of a police cordon in Hale Lane, and said: “What's going on? Hale lane closed, Mill Hill by four police cars near Railway Tavern pub. #millhill #Edgware #barnet.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “No one at the scene had injuries and no victims have been traced. Officers have not recovered any weapons.

“There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue and officers from the Trident Area Gang Command investigate.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
