Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering north London teenager Gary Scott in Finsbury Park on Tuesday night.

Adrian Carpenter, 30, and 27-year-old Jermaine Reid, both of whom live in Victoria Road, Stroud Green, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

College student Gary, 17, was stabbed to death in Marquis Road, also in Stroud Green, as he walked to meet friends after a party in Edmonton.

Both men were arrested on Thursday evening.

Gary’s mother Annette Gill this week pleaded for her son’s killers to come forward.

“I am a mother and I forgive you,” she said.

“Please, I’m appealing, I’m begging you to come forward. Please, my son was only 17.”

They are next due in court on Wednesday, when they will appear at the Old Bailey.

Police urge anyone with information to call 020 8785 8244 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
