A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young man was stabbed to death in a brawl involving baseball bats in north London.
The victim, 20, was found suffering knife injuries following the shocking incident in Edmonton just after 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics battled to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.20pm.
The teenager, 16, was arrested on suspicion of murder and violent disorder a short while later.
Police were called to an altercation between men “armed with baseball bats” in Cavendish Road.
The arrested boy has been taken to hospital for treatment and will be questioned later, Scotland Yard said.
"At this early stage officers retain an open mind as to motive," a spokesman for Scotland Yard said.
Crime scenes remained open in nearby Brettenham Road and Cameron Close and officers have informed the man's next of kin, he added.
