A man was found with head injuries in a south London park on Friday morning.

Police were called to Burgess Park in Camberwell just before 7am alongside the air ambulance and paramedics.

They found a man in the park with head injuries, the extent of which are currently unknown.

Officers have launched an appeal to identify the man, thought to be in his 30s. He is described as having dark hair and possibly being of south American descent.

Detective Sergeant Tom Dunn, of the Met’s Central South Command, said: “We are very keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed the incident that caused the victim to be injured, or anyone who thinks they know who he is.”

He urged anyone who had information to get in contact with police.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information is being asked to call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting reference CAD 1314/02Jun.

To remain 100% anonymous, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
