A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death outside an Argos store in south London.

Andrew Thompson, from Kennington, was stabbed on Atlantic Road in Brixton early on Friday afternoon.

The 30-year-old was rushed to a south London hospital at around 1pm but was pronounced dead soon after.

Alando Bolt, from Lambeth, was arrested on Saturday and taken to a north London police station for questioning.

He has now been charged with murder and will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on August 21.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
