A 15-year-old has been charged with murder after a “much-loved” teenager was knifed to death outside his school.

Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes, also 15, was stabbed on Monday and later pronounced dead in hospital.

A post-mortem examination on Wednesday gave the cause of death as a haemorrhage and stab wound to the chest.

Piera Serunkuma-Hutton, Quamari’s sister, said: “Quamari was a much-loved boy with a heart full of gold.

“Everyone who knew my brother loved him to bits. He was such a good role model to everyone, old and young.

"He loved reggae music and could sing any song that came on the radio. He could make anyone laugh no matter the situation.

"He used to always send me pictures of outfits he should buy when he was going out with his friends.”

Police, who are appealing for information, were called to Doyle Gardens in Willesden shortly before 3.30pm on Monday.

Officers do not believe the death was related to gang activity.
