A 15-year-old boy has been accused of grievous bodily harm with intent after a boy of the same age was stabbed.

He is also accused of possession of an offensive weapon, Scotland Yard said.

Police were called to St Helier Avenue at 2.35pm on Friday after a stabbing on a Route 151 bus in Sutton, south-west London.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance were at the scene.

The 15-year-old victim was taken to hospital where his condition is serious but stable.

The accused will appear at Croydon Youth Court on Tuesday November 11.
