A man was stabbed during a fight on a platform at Barking railway station on Friday night, police have said.

British Transport Police were called to the East London location shortly after 10pm on Friday night with reports of a group scuffle.

The force said a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to laceration wounds - before being discharged and then arrested on suspicion of affray.

Two men were arrested at the scene, the police added, a 23-year-old on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and a 19-year-old on suspicion of affray.

None of the three had been charged at the time of writing.

“Officers are appealing to anyone who was at Barking station at the time who may have witnessed the incident or have any information which could help their investigation to get in touch,” a statement read.
