A teenage girl lured a young man to his death over Snapchat in a plot to steal his BMW, the Old Bailey heard.

The 17-year-old is accused of “tricking” 22-year-old Ayodeji Azeez into driving to a car park in Anerley, southeast London, where he was ambushed by a group of young men.

Jurors heard Mr Azeez believed he was simply meeting the girl he had been talking to on social media, but he was then stabbed 16 times as he sat at the wheel of his BMW.

The teenage girl is now on trial, accused with Kevin Lusala, 22, Chaise Gray, 23, Brandon Griffith, 20, and a 17-year-old boy of plotting to rob Mr Azeez and of murdering him.

“Mr Azeez had driven from Dagenham to Anerley that morning, the reason he did that was because he was tricked into driving there”, said prosecutor Louis Mably QC.

“He thought he was going to meet a girl.

“When he arrived at the meet-up with the girl, and was guided by her into the car park, the group of boys were waiting for him to rob him and the attack was carried out.”

Jurors heard the stabbing happened just after midday on November 4 last year, moments after Mr Azeez arrived in the car park in Samos Road, Anerley.

Mr Mably said the alleged killers had been at a house party together the night before, and are said to have returned to the house after the stabbing.

Two witnesses told police the group of alleged killers were “freaking” when they returned, while some had blood on their clothing.

It is said Lusala, who is accused of wielding the knife, had blood on his jacket, his jeans, and some on his chin.

Gray, Griffith, the 17-year-old boy and the 17-year-old girl, all of south London, and Lusala of Orpington, Kent, deny murder and conspiracy to rob.

The trial continues.
