A sixth man has been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Plumstead man Ahmed Ahmed.
Mr Ahmed was stabbed yards from his home on August 10.
His mother and sister fought to save him but he died in hospital hours later.
Onyema Olisa, 20, of Malton Street, Plumstead, was remanded in custody by Bromley magistrates on Tuesday and will appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
Plumstead men Hussain Roble, 18, Osman Mohamed, 19, Khalid Hashi, 22, and Hamza Dodi, 23, have all been charged with murder, as has homeless Sazzad Khan, 20.
They are being held by police and are set to be tried in February.
Four other men, aged 18 to 21, were bailed without charge following their arrests.
Mr Ahmed’s heartbroken mother Mulki told the Standard her son was “a great brother” and “absolutely loved to pieces” his four nieces and nephews.
In 2008, Mr Ahmed had survived a knife attack alongside Michael Adebowale, the man currently serving a life sentence for the brutal 2013 murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby in Woolwich.
Mr Ahmed and Adebowale, who had not then converted to Islam, were at a house in Erith when a drug-crazed knifeman burst in and attacked them both, as well as killing their friend.
