Men pucker-up for the party

Will you be caught under the mistletoe with one of your colleagues this year?
5 April 2012

As the party season gets into full swing, it seems that men will be whipping out the mistletoe at their office Christmas bash.

In a This is London survey, 48% of male readers said they had snogged a colleague at an office party, while only 33% of female readers admitting to puckering-up with their work mates.

Despite the potential for pulling, 55% of you said you were indifferent to your company’s Christmas party, with 24% saying it’s an embarrassing social event that you hate.

The only solution seems to be a little Dutch courage, with 45% of you saying that you intended to drink the bar dry at this year's event.

Sixteen per cent of readers say they will flirt with their colleagues and another 16% admit they will make a fool of themselves on the dance floor thanks to all that free booze.

Five per cent of office scrooges will sit in the corner and sulk while 4% will use the opportunity to slag off their boss.

The aftermath of all that boozing and flirting takes its toll though. Twenty eight per cent of readers said they were embarrassed to go into work after their last Christmas party and 13% called in sick to avoid facing their colleagues the next day.
