Thanks to these beautiful wood and leather platforms (£410), courtesy of Parisian cobbler Robert Clergerie, we've finally made up our minds about this season's clogs. This is mainly because we love Clergerie's reinterpretation of the classic style — to our relief, he has designed these beauties with clever hinge technology intended to make running for the bus a far less painful affair. Here's to a broken-ankle-free summer.

News spot

Moncler, puffa brand of choice for the chic set (think Madonna, Elle Macpherson and SJP), has teamed up with Comme des Garçons for a limited-edition range that sees the brand's tentacles spread far and beyond the world of puffas. Moncler 365 debuts at — where else? — Dover Street Market on 9 April: expect Comme fabrics married to a quirky Moncler aesthetic. (www.doverstreetmarket.com/enquiries

At last Selfridges is entering the civilised age with an online shopping website. The site, which features the best bits from the store's fashion, beauty, food and home ranges, will also play host to an interactive fitting room so you can virtually try before you buy any selection of limited edition products which are exclusive to selfridges.com. Our cursor is hovering over the snakeskin printed Bayswater bag by Mulberry. (www.selfridges.com) KD
