A bath with a killer view is one of life's most indulgent and relaxing pleasures.

From tropical tubs overlooking glimmering oceans or an urban splash-about 35 stories up, plan your next bath time around these super soakers.

Gomoti Plains, Botswana

A sundowner after a game drive is one thing. But a sundowner sipped from your roll top copper bath, as the sun sets over the Okavango Delta? Well, that’s on a whole other level. There are only 10 luxury tents at Gomoti Plains, one of which has this amazing bath tub, and the area is a dream for wildlife (plus its low key location makes for far less safari traffic). You can also head out on a Mekoro safari, in one of their traditional canoes.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Seychelles

On the private Félicité Island, this swish resort is full of spots so beautiful they’ll leave you weak in the knees. But while the villas’ private pools, sundecks and even beds have killer views, the best comes arguably from the bath, where you can lie back and look out at the palm trees, glimmering turquoise ocean and neighbouring islands. Best of all? There’s a swing in the bathroom, too.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon

The Old Piggery, Devon

There’s a deliciously rustic vibe at The Old Piggery. Set on a working farm, this cottage is gorgeously cosy, with a suspended bed, exposed beams and woollen blankets. But it’s the twin outdoor baths that really up the ante. The private deck is screened off, so you can enjoy the uninterrupted views of the Devonshire hills without worrying that someone’s catching a glimpse of you, too.

The Old Piggery

Sonop, Namibia

This brand new luxury camp is in the heart of the Namibian desert, with incredible views every way you turn. Each of the 10 tents are the epitome of plush, decadent design, with a cool vintage explorer vibe. But it’s the giant copper baths that are the real showstoppers – roll up the canvas walls and you’ll be surrounded by a panorama of desert plains, dunes and faraway mountains. Heaven.

Not all of the rooms have baths with a view, but they’re available in every room category, not just the top suites.

When it comes to New York views, you can’t beat 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The rooms at this beautiful eco hotel overlook Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and, of course, the Brooklyn Bridge itself, depending on where you’re sleeping. But while all of the rooms are lustworthy, the carved stone bath in the super-luxe Riverhouse Suite is the stuff of dreams. After your soak, curl up in the hotel’s signature sweatshirt bathrobe and knitted socks, and gaze at the skyscrapers.

Bürgenstock Hotel, Lake Lucerne

The bathside windows at this plush resort feel more like picture frames, filled with the scene of Lake Lucerne and an Alpine range in the distance. From the giant, double-size tub (some of which have fireplaces alongside) you can gaze out at the ever-changing view, as the clouds roll over the lake and the water ripples in the breeze.

Cliff House Hotel, Ireland

Built into the cliffs in Co Waterford, every room at this hotel looks out on the beautiful waters of Ardmore Bay. And while the giant baths in the bedrooms are magnificent, it’s the two outdoor tubs in the spa that give you the real seaside vibe. You can book a bath filled with organic peat or essential oils, but for an authentically Irish experience, opt for the seaweed bath – you’ll feel incredible afterwards.
