The Crush: Hugh Jackman

Swooning for the all-singing, all-dancing wolfman
Lotte Jeffs26 July 2013

Crush wouldn’t normally go after happily married men, but Hugh Jackman has been clawing at us from the side of buses for weeks now; how could we resist?

Mr Wolverine picks up where Michael J Fox left off in ‘wolfies we really fancy’ (sorry, Twilighters, Taylor Lautner was always more wolf whistle than wolfman), but now we’re all grown up we’ll take Hugh’s grizzly hunk of hairiness over the 1980s teen Fox any day. Just like his conflicted X-Men character, there are two sides to Hugh the Jackman — and we want to sink our incisors into both. He’s the rough and ready, alpha male Men’s Fitness cover star, and the all-singing, all-dancing Broadway musical sensation who twirled with Anne Hathaway at the Oscars and crooned to Cosette in Les Mis. It’s fair to say, as straight men go, this is a rare find indeed. And it is, truly, all we’ve ever wanted from the XY-chromosomes in our life. Yes, we’re jealous of his (ahem) 57-year-old film producer wife. But, what can we say, this guy just brings out the beast in us.
