The Crush: Chris Stark

15 March 2013

Hang on, is that Chris, your little sister’s new boyfriend? Chris, the barman at your local pub? Chris, the nice chap who upgraded your contract at Carphone Warehouse? No, no, no. This is Chris Stark, the very average bloke who almost scored a date with Mila Kunis after what she declared to be ‘the best interview’.

If you haven’t seen the YouTube clip of 25-year-old aspiring DJ and Radio 1 lackey Chris’ first celebrity encounter, join the five million (and counting) people who have. Instead of asking Mila about her new film Oz the Great and Powerful, Mr Stark invites her to watch the Watford FC match, eat a steak and ale pie and join him and his mates Chango The Beast, The Convict and Sir Dosser for ‘lad bombs’ in the pub.

Mila obviously adores him and so do we (maybe because he looks like the boy we pulled in Magaluf after GCSEs).

Chris was put up to the interview by his boss, radio host Scott Mills, who thought it would be amusing to see how someone who ‘knows nothing about films or celebrities’ would fare with a Hollywood A-lister.

We love that this cheeky chappy treats our mega-crush Mila as he would any other girl in his league.

Their seven-minute exchange, which covers subjects as diverse as Nando’s, the Champions League and ‘boshing pints’, confirms what we’ve always hoped: she has a very un-Hollywoody sense of humour and we’ll be eternally grateful to this bumbling, bewildered Watford bloke for proving it.

Someone give Chris Stark his own chat show, quick.
