The Berkeley to launch a Prêt-à-Portea Masterclass to celebrate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding

Ahead of the Royal Wedding on 19th May, The Berkeley are launching a Masterclass in Prêt-a-Portea

Prêt-à-Portea – fashion meets afternoon tea.

The Berkeley are creating wedding dress shaped biscuits and stiletto shoe cookies in celebration of this year’s Royal Wedding. These sweet treats draw inspiration from dress designers Ralph & Russo, Phillipa Lepley and Suzanne Neville, and shoe designers Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Nicholas Kirkwood.

Head pastry Chef, Mourad Khiat has invited the wedding guests to exclusive baking classes throughout May, where they will be taught to transform royal fashion favourites into delectable biscuits and cakes

Khiat responds to The Berkeley’s involvement in the big day: ‘2018 is an exciting year in London and across Britain, as we celebrate this very special Royal Wedding and we wanted to pay tribute to this modern day fairy-tale by creating a Prêt-à-Portea with a contemporary regal flare especially for the occasion!’

The Berkeley are to launch these fit-for-a-queen treats in a limited edition SS18 Prêt-à-Portea collection, in the run up to the big day.

For those wanting to get involved without an invitation to the royal ball, Prêt-à-Portea is served at The Berkeley every day. Visit http://www.the-berkeley.co.uk/knightsbridge-restaurants-bars/fashion-afternoon-tea/ for more information.
