Take a quick glance at this artist's portfolio of designs, and you’ll likely recognise many of your most useful objects that help you with everything from eating and drinking to cleaning and tending to the garden.

But take a closer look, and you’ll soon realise why they’re being dubbed “the most frustrating pictures on the internet.”

Athens-based architect Katrina Kamprani has created a series of images that depicts household items whose hilariously bad design makes them impossible to use as intended - despite how hard you might try.

Within the design project, appropriately dubbed The Uncomfortable, are peep-toe wellington boots, an unbalanced double-handled pan, furry crockery, limp cutlery and slanted chairs.

The items stary largely true to the materials and forms of the original; but, annoyingly, there’s just one deft change that renders them absolutely useless.

Describing herself as a “design enthusiast” on her website, Kamprani starting redesigning the objects as a personal project in her free time.
