With summer over it’s time to return to tailoring. But why stick to the same old shapes and styles? In support of all the sartorial enthusiasts (or those just in need of a damn good get-up), I’ve selected eight of the most enviable men's designer suits that would score your major style points all year round.

Alexander McQueen

If you don't own a red suit, it’s worth considering a purchase. Crimson tailoring is trending high and as for the supreme choice, look no further than this Alexander McQueen beauty. This 'lust' red, single-breasted layered organza two-piece ran straight off the runway into the wardrobes of the most stylish. After wearing it, I can understand why.

Corneliani

Italian luxury menswear at its best, this Corneliani number packs a level of cool that bolsters any man's sprezzatura style to higher heights. This sharply tailored ensemble, crafted from a beautiful cotton and silk blended fabric, can work at the office and outside work at any snazzy event.

Dior

Kim Jones is of course a maestro of tailoring, and this light pink Dior ensemble can make any man fall for pink. Dior's 'Tailleur Oblique' jackets (with a 1950s cut used by Monsieur Dior, wrapping around the body) are all the rage and this double-breasted take is simply sublime in look and feel. Nick Jonas, Nicholas Hout and Ranveer Singh agree.

Dunhill

This Dunhill blue silk men's double-breasted jacket and split-hem trouser duo is a testament to the impressiveness of British luxury menswear. Its feel is beautiful, and the slight sheen makes it a statement of elegance. If you are going to rock a blue suit this autumn, let it be this.

Ermenegildo Zegna

A sartorial statement-maker, this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture single-breasted suit will grab attention - and for the right reasons. Alessandro Sartori outdid himself, and for that all the guys are thankful. Featuring double sleeves in Barcelona dark pink dupioni silk with a graphic print, this outfit is always a winner.

Fendi

Worn by many of Hollywood's leading men, this FF motif-covered men's suit is crafted in the beautiful chocolate brown that Fendi is known for. This tailored tech cotton two-piece is a real head-turner.

Louis Vuitton

These threads were first seen on male model Montell Martin at Virgil Abloh's historic first show for Louis Vuitton. They were then seen on Chadwick Boseman, and in the luxury houses’ campaign. Hands down, one of the best-fitting, roomy suits I have ever worn that's on the market.

Stella McCartney

Recent news about Stella McCartney's acquisition by LVMH had the industry buzzing, and this suit (and McCartney's tailoring offering) proves her stellar luxury creations back up the buzz. I am a big fan of the suit’s iridescent sheen.
